Let’s Talk about (Vocal) Sex
By Al Harrington
“I was 23 when I visited London with my girlfriend and future first ex-wife. I was stationed in Paris and she worked in the embassy information office. Our room was nice but rather small. It had a big bed, a writing desk with chair, two over-stuffed chairs, and a closet. When we first got there, I opened the closet door thinking it was the bathroom. Huh uh. I actually called down to the desk to tell them I couldn't find the bathroom. After the clerk stopped laughing he told me that each floor of the hotel had only one communal bathroom that served five or six rooms.
The bathroom was nearly twenty feet square, with a toilet, bidet, tub, separate shower, double sinks, dressing table, and three or four chairs. Each morning we would go to the bathroom together. She'd get in the tub and soak while I showered and shaved. (I was a Marine, remember? I shaved every day, working or not.) Naturally we had to do IT at least once in the communal bathroom. The weird thing was that Raven was normally a quiet lover, but on that one morning, for whatever reason, she got really vocal while we were doing it. She moaned the whole time and, occasionally, yelped a bit. And, just like in a movie, when we came out there was a couple standing in the hallway giving us a very strange look.”
That passage is an excerpt from a story I wrote several years ago about my past life and I'm using it as an introduction to some questions I have for you.
Women are weird in that they're all different. Over the years, I've been with some women who moaned, some who groaned, a couple who panted, one who squeaked (loudly) when she climaxed, and some who just lay there. I've never had a woman that screamed and, for the most part, the only times I've heard women saying things like, "Fuck me," "Shove that cock into me," "Fuck my pussy," and the like only did it when I egged them on.
As an example, let me bore you with an excerpt from one afternoon of vacation sex. Sam said she always enjoyed our encounters, but rarely made any noise. (Yep, her name was Samantha, but not associated with O&C. Unless ... hmm, Samantha, have you ever spent an erotic weekend in Cucamonga?) An occasional moan, but that was it. One day I was curious and I went down on her for several minutes. As she climaxed, I pushed a second finger inside her. She actually started moaning and saying something about wanting "it." I pulled back from her and asked what she wanted. She said, "Oh, Al, put it in me."
I asked what she wanted me to put into her and she said, "Oh, Al, you know what I want."
"No, what?" I asked.
"Your dick, put your dick in me."
Okay, I was getting closer. "Where do you want me to put it?"
She reached down, pulled my head up, and said, "Quit fucking around and put your dick in my pussy."
All that work just to hear her use specific words. Interestingly, after that afternoon Sam frequently used those “dirty” words and talked about how she wanted me to fuck her pussy, her cunt, or her ass. Whew, did I create a monster?
On the flip side, I was once with a woman who made no noise herself, but wanted me to be very graphic about what I was doing. Each time we were together she wanted to hear me say things like, "I'm going to fuck you silly," or "Now, I'm shoving my cock into your cunt," and such things. Without hearing my dirty descriptions, she claimed she could not climax.
Which brings me to the “open discussion” part of this article: Ladies, during sex, do you scream, moan, groan, grunt, screech, giggle, squeak, or lie there quietly? When you climax, do you do any of the above? If you make noise, is it because you want to or you feel it is necessary to make your partner feel good? Do you want your lover to be graphic about what he's doing or going to do to you?
