A Sexy Note for Summer
From your Erotica Editors, Jordan LaRousse and Samantha Sade
We are finally experiencing true Boulder summer weather, and there’s something about all of the fresh growing flowers and singing birds and blue skies and sunshine on our skin that makes us want to toss our computers aside and have some hot, sweaty fun of our own! This is probably the one time of year when being erotica editors is truly a drag… who wants to read about sex when it’s in the very air around you?
Not that we’re complaining…
To celebrate the warm weather, here are a few fun summer sex facts. We hope you enjoy, and go out and have some summer fun of your own!
• According to funfactz.com, staring at a blue surface during sex increases the intensity of orgasms (supposedly due to the angle at which the optic nerve enters the brain) – all the more reason to have sex in the Caribbean while gazing at the ocean, or outside on a cloudless day.
• When the new queen honeybee flies out on her summertime mating flight, she produces a special sex pheromone odor to attract drones.
• For a healthy, summer glow, have sex! Relaxed, gentle sex produces sweat that cleanses the pores and makes skin glow. In women, sex also produces estrogen, which makes hair shine and smoothes the skin.
• Black bears and grizzly bears mate in early summer. The bear couple spends several days getting “acquainted” before actually having sex, which lasts a few minutes the first time (kinda like a human male’s first time). The female bears are likely to mate with several bears over a one-week period of time (those sluts!).
• June is the most common month in which Americans lose their virginity (ah, the prom-night tradition...).
Happy Summer!
xoxo
