I've been dating my man for eight months, and I'm very excited to celebrate Valentine's Day. I want to make it a fun, romantic, sexy day for the two of us. Do you have any suggestions on how to romance my guy on Valentine's Day? Do guys even really care if girls go the extra mile to please them, or do they see Valentine's Day as just a silly day meant for the girls?

Dear Vixen,
Some guys ignore it. Some guys forget it. Some guys love it.Valentine's Day is upon us once again. Many guys, unless under truth serum or extreme genital torture, won't admit that they like receiving gifts or being romanticized at Valentine's Day as much as their women do. However, it is my opinion that guys will remember the Valentine's Day that goes above and beyond the norm for years to come.
In order for you to romance your man properly, you have to do some preparation:
You should consider booking a night away from home. A cabin with a great view of the mountains and a hot tub would be ideal.
Book a reservation at a nice restaurant for a romantic candlelight dinner.
Take some romantic, sexy music with you. Jazz is perfect for getting both of you in the mood. A couple suggestions there would be Madeleine Peyroux- Careless Love and Diana Krall- The Girl In the Other Room. Any kind of music with a rhythm you can slow dance to would be good though.
Dress extra sexy. If the two of you have shared any of your fantasies with the other, then maybe you will know what to wear that will really get his motor running. You could also find some special undergarments to wear that he would never expect to see you in. This will be a pleasant surprise later in the evening.
Take a good bottle of wine with you. It does not have to be expensive to be a good wine. I would suggest a Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet, or a Gewürztraminer. The $8.00 to $15.00 ranges are usually a fairly smart choice. The wine will relax you so that you can forget any inhibitions you may have and get wild.
Light some candles, put on some sexy music, and treat him to a scented bubble bath. There is something very loving and very romantic about a woman giving their man a bubble bath. Most guys don't take bubble baths, so this is something that he will remember for a long time to come.
Think of some different sexual positions that you think he might like to try. Take some adult toys with you and have him use them on you.
I think that you should begin your evening slowly, starting with your romantic candlelight dinner and wine. Then you could go back to your room, put on your music and have another glass or two of wine while the two of you are dancing. You could then take your wine and spend some time in the hot tub or bubble bath. Lots of sexy conversation and touching would be in order about this time if you haven't started already. You could continue your evening in bed starting with a massage and turning it into a great sexual experience for the both of you.
You can use some, all, or none of the ideas that I mentioned, but I would only caution you on one thing. Use your best judgement at all times so that you will know if your man is slipping away from your grasp on the evening's events. Most guys like being romanced in small doses. You don't want to bombard him too heavily or allow things to become too cheesy in the romance area. You'll end up turning him off and your night will be ruined. Use good judgement to keep things fun and interesting and the evening will be spectacular for the both of you. I would love to hear how this turns out for you.
Good luck,
Sebastien
