Dear readers,
They say April showers bring May flowers... Here at the zine April has brought a shower of energy, and some super sexy stories and art. As things pick up pace for us, it seems the quality of the art and writing submissions we've found and published continues to blossom.
We love spring time in Colorado, the weather starts warming up and the days get longer and there's an overwhelming feeling of revival and life in the air. There's also that great sexual feeling that spring brings, the desire to get naughty and dirty and roll around as much as possible before the heat of summer slows everything down.
It's no wonder that the pagan holiday of fertility Eostre or Ostara occurs at the vernal equinox. Although the vernal equinox was March 20, most people celebrate this day of fertility on a day many of us call Easter. Easter (which is named after the Saxon Fertility Goddess Eostre) includes all the symbols of the pagan ritual that marked the fertility celebration. Eggs were ancient fertility symbols and offerings to the Goddess of the Pagans in both western and eastern cultures, including the Goddess Ostara, whose escort was a rabbit. Ah so that's how a rabbit delivering eggs came about! Spring really is a time for sex and sensuality and for letting your rutty goddess come out to play!
Speaking of feeling horny, Ladies, we've had a lot of great looking guys on the cover of Oysters & Chocolate. But when this month's guy popped into our submissions box, we were both left absolutely breathless. Enjoy the JaySin series in our art gallery.
