About the author

My dad got me started in photography, when we would watch the Bald Eagles catching salmon on our annual trip to Glacier National Park, Mt. I also spent time in our home darkroom developing Black and White. I started formal education in high school were I took every class they offered. I took a couple of years off from photography to get life experience in the Army where I took mostly snapshots. When I was Honorably Discharged, I returned to Montana, and worked in a couple of Minilabs developing photos. I, also, attended a couple of photography classes at Montana State University, Bozeman, Mt. Then I went to Glenwood Springs, Co. and completed my Professional Photography degree in Applied Science. I once again took a couple of years off from photography to learn management from Blockbuster Video. Then I managed a couple of Minilab/Portrait studios in Denver, Co. Currently I work for Olan Mills as a Church Directory Photographer. And I do freelance work on the side. My current goal is to find the perfect location to open a Portrait Studio.

One of the things I enjoy most about photography is catching the moment. That key time when the persons look, the background, everything comes together to make a great photo. So if you are interested in posing let me know. I'd love to collaborate on any ideas you may have. Of course, I come up with hundreds of ideas during the shoot. Currently I would love to do a Black and White figure study of a pregnant women. And I am interested in photographing an inter-racial couple for a fine art figure study in Black and White with spots of color. Another project I am working on is painting with light and using glow sticks to paint models.
