Photographer Will Santillo brings a wide-ranging cultural sensibility to the world of erotic photography. After 25 years working in commercial photography, architectural design and computer programming, he expanded his creative range to include erotic art. His artistic versatility engages both commercial and avant-garde tastes.

Santillo seeks to uncover the Hidden Face of his subjects, the sensual persona that exists within all people. His work celebrates these personae with sensitivity, compassion and depth. Reminiscent of the richly sensual jazz of Miles Davis, his photographs are visual translations of Davis's haunting trumpet solos. They capture The Perfect Moment -- the lingering, charged moods and memories that recall the often tender - but sometimes taboo - aspects of human desire.

In the tradition of photographers Robert Mapplethorpe, Gregory Colbert and Helmut Newton, Santillo explores the incredible range of the erotic imagination. Blending his expertise in commercial photography with his own distinct aesthetic, he documents his subjects with a visceral yet nuanced directness.

Will Santillo's work has been published by both Taschen and Mammoth Press.
A monogram edition of his photography is due in early 2008.
